The Dream that Wouldn't Die - Author

Ann Galbraith is a former editor of the Ayr Advertiser, Scotland’s oldest local newspaper. During the 1980s the newspaper backed the campaign to save Prestwick Airport when it was threatened with closure, despite the fact that the newspaper’s owner headed the Glasgow business campaign to have the transatlantic flights transferred to that city’s airport – dealing a mighty blow to Prestwick.

She lives in South Ayrshire with four cats and is currently a councillor with South Ayrshire Council and a member of the Prestwick Airport Consultative Committee.
